Imposible is nothing . yes you guessed it, it's the adidas slogan but it has some truth to it as impossible is nothing and through out history we have seen men show the world that what seemed to be impossible actually became possible.
history tells of a story of a few great men who today have shown us that impossible was truly nothing. In 1952 when Sir Edmund Hillary decided to climb Mount Everest many thought it was impossible but he was dedicated and made it to the top of Everest and since then many have followed suit. back in the Fifties the is a story of a man who did the seemingly impossible. Back then they thought that if a man ran the mile under four minutes that his heart would collapse and not function but a men named hugh bannister after countless number of tries achieved that it. The most relevant example for us today is teh 100 metre sprints as many believed that the 10 second barrier but a jamaican Carl Lewis ran it in 9.95 seconds and that is the truth
These peoples stories all have common elements to them . Firstly there was alot of hardwork involved and scondly they had the perseverance and dedication to accomplish the seemingly impossible. all that it tells us today is to have the guts to dream and the will power to work for those dreams.
remember Impossible is Nothing

Glory
Why is it that we want glory ? That question has plagued many people throghout civilization. i believe that it is an intrinsic feeling that we have as humans to want to be immortalized ,to be remembered for teh rest of time , to leave our legacy in this world.
From the beginning of time man has been seeking to make his destiny in an attempt to be remembered for all eternity. Look at the battle of troy , that was seen by the greeks back then as the greatest battle in all of eternity and men went to war to be remembered to seek immortality on the beaches of troy and they all did as even today the story of Paris, Hektor, Priam ,Agamemnon and achilles is still being read today.
In the 1st century AD we saw another quest for glory but this one was in the form of competition .The olympic games in olympia greece were a quest for men to achieve glory as with each branch placed on the winners head symbolised your fate and that you were blessed by the Gods. Sadly the olympics died out but then baron Pierre de Cubertain resurrected the modern games which reinforce this notion of it being intrinsic in us that we seek glory.
Ever since 1896 in greece men and women have worked hard for the moment which may last 10 seconds long to be etched in history as a great athlete. The olympics leads me to ask a question : Do you remember the guy who came second?
The answer is highly unlikely. Who was the man who stayed in apollo eleven while his friends neil and buzz played on the moon. No one knowsand that is hard no one will remember number 2 asa we all give number 1 the glory and that is why today we must never drink from from the cup of mediocrity, give everything and give into nothing and finally win that race and leave a legacy for all eternity.
Dare to do something great with your life!
