WAR

Life is a war that stands the test of time. Every now and then we are faced with battles that we need to accomplish and like in sport you win some or lose some. The fundamental things these battles bring are lessons on how to move on and be a better person to achieve the dreams that we have set out for ourselves.

Normally when facing these battle we tend to give it our best shot we fight with every last breath we have so that we have no regrets later on in life. Lately i’ve been noticing the world throwing in the towel in mid battle which I find hard to accept. If you give up half way through can you imagine the “what if’s” , “Maybe’s” and “I should have’s” one would encounter; they would be numerous and living in regret is one thing I hate to live in as it eats you up inside as you live in the past and dwell in it.

Granted there are some battles that require you to punch above your weight and they may overpower you. In that case one must march on for the empire and fight for the motherland. One must fight with all they have and push on and never let go of the dream. In the end you never know what might happen. I’d rather lose knowing I’ve given it my all than losing because I gave up half way through.

Life is a game of inches and it is the one who is willing to die who’s going to win that much needed inch. This is true because if you have left it all on the battle field there’s nothing more that you could do and the regrets that you will have are few and you will look forward to the next battle hoping that you have learnt from your mistakes. This is the good and proactive way of seeing life instead of giving up and not learning anything and dreading the day you will be called up to battle. This can be seen with the famous armies of the world. Those that gave were the one’s that will not be remembered but those that stayed on and fought, sometimes in a losing cause will be remembered for all eternity like those 300 men who fought with all their might to defend their country. This applies to people as well because it is at moments like these where our character gets tested.

So in the battles of life are you going to give up and run to the hills the moment times get hard or are you going to stay on and fight for that inch. I know I’ll be fighting till I lose that last breathe in me. GIVE EVERYTHING AND GIVE INTO NOTHING.
